I would like to find a recipe like G&T marmalade, Baileys cake or whiskey fudge I could make for the adults in my family as a decadent treat for Xmas.

I love a good ole boozy trifle – however, with two toddlers our Christmas desserts have been virgin the last few years. This year I might make hubby and I a special dessert to enjoy together once the kids have gone to sleep!

  • Rum balls are our go to christmas treat for family. Taste has some fantastic recipes and Pinterest has even better ways to present thems

  • Try Christmas pudding truffles on Taste. They are super popular, I do them every year

  • Pink Champagne truffles or Baileys truffles are easy to make and go down very well with all the adults!

  • I know Bailey’s chocolate mousse is divine. Cant help with anything else

  • There are currently lots of good Christmas cook books at the shops. I spotted some new ones on shelves during the week. Maybe worth taking a look for inspiration too?

  • Homemade truffles are perfect for Christmas gifts. Simply add favourite alcohol to the truffles. A sweet gift for adults only.

  • A Grog Log made the day before and gifted on the day.
    Ingredients
    250g chocolate ripple biscuits
    300ml whipped cream
    1 Cadbury Flake chocolate bar
Add any type of alcohol (Grand Marnier And Baileys) dip the chocolate ripple biscuits and add the whipped cream and stack sideways along a long plate until all biscuits are used up. Use up all the cream and decorate the log with broken up Cadbury Flake chocolate bar. (I have also made this by adding extra Grand Marnier OR Baileys to the cream. (Remember this is likely to put you over if you are driving skip this dessert!

  • Try Tiramisu. All recipes are basically the same, but here are the ingredients for a very good one.

    2 eggs
    1/3 cup caster sugar
    250g mascarpone
    600ml thickened cream whipped
2 cups strong black coffee (liquid)
    3/4 cup Baileys Irish cream
    600g Savoiardi sponge finger biscuits

All you do is add the , 3/4 c Baileys Irish cream to the coffee brew and soak the biscuits in that.
