What are some things for 2 boys to do in a hotel room? After a long day of beach, food and shops… relaxing in the hotel room, but trying to avoid “we’re boreeeddddddddd” some easy mess-free entertaining ideas please?
Traveling by car, so packing and weight not an issue :)
… No technology please. Will be taking dvd’s and the ipads, but am trying to avoid those for as long as possible

  • What age are your boys ? I think lego never can go wrong and when they’re a little older games like monopoly, ludo, battle ship, scrabble, jigsaw puzzles etc

  • Colouring, playing cards

  • The swimming pool would be good fun.

  • Totally understand. Boys (and some girls) have so much energy and food and shopping doesn’t seem to wear them out, even after the beach. Try and get them as active as possible before you head to the hotel room..Go to the hotel gym? Have them run about and swim etc. and then they maybe ready to do something quieter, like sit, and entertain themselves with a book, depending on their age (and where you are) why can’t they go exploring to the local playground? Perhaps make a fitness circuit that they can do in the hotel room (one of those ones that don’t require equipment just enough space for pushups, jump rope and squats etc..) Make it into a competition (do boys still like that?) and just wear them out physically. They need hours and hours of activity before “relaxing” in a hotel room and then will probably go straight to sleep if they have done enough! As you say screen time WONT help.

  • colouring books, blocks or legos as long as they’re not prone to losing piece. Hot Wheels cars
