  • Depends for what type of medication but when it’s for Panadol I used suppositories with my youngest

  • MY kids took it because they knew they wouldn’t get better ( and perhaps even worse ) if they don’t take their meds. Maybe a pep talk on meds is needed .

  • Start early with medicines, I always gave my children medicine in a syringe and they basically knew that when the syringe came out they pursed their lips and sucked the meds in. I would sometimes give them a treat after, or if it was a really bad tasting med I would let them have a little bit of condensed milk out of a tube that I kept in the fridge, my kids loved this. bad for their teeth but it was not something they had all the time and I considered getting them to take medicine was more important.

  • depends what age, what form of medications etc. tried different brands? pr medication? play a game with them, maybe something on you tube?

  • hold her mouth closed until she swallows

  • Syringing it in towards back of cheek.

  • Try mixing it with honey. Mum used to battle with me the same when it came to medicine and mixing it in honey was the only thing that stoped me spitting it out.

  • Put in spoonful of yogurt.

  • Try it with Jam or honey … or add it to a drink

  • How are they going now?

  • Very much depends on the age of the child?

  • how did you go? :)

  • Have you had any luck?

  • It really does depend on the age and the type of medicine – our little one will take liquid medicine off a spoon but older kids it can be harder to get them to take tablets. But if they are older you can discuss how the medicine will make them feel better etc.

  • Some good advice below – has any helped?
