  • Jiff!

  • I dont know I have never really tried but maybe using methylated spirits I suppose it would evaporate but your best to look this up I’m no expert

  • Bicarb soda removes stains from coffee cups, try it on the white plates.

  • Agree with the magic sponge suggestion. Those things are amazing.

  • Lemon juice and salt, great for removing coffee and tea stains from cups as well.

  • I think it would depend on the stain but I have used course salt (make a paste) with success.

  • for really stained white cups and plates we use domestos then a really good clean to make sure it is all cleaned off before using again, we do this in the shop I work in for coffee stains

  • If u don’t want to use bleach try the magic sponge by chux it’s fantastic

  • Thank you so much for all your wonderful suggestions, much appreciated!

  • Just show care when using products if you are planning to use plates for eating. Caution with chemicals at all times.

  • Depending on what it’s made of be careful what you use but bleach and then a thorough wash and rinse should work.

  • Try a magic eraser – I swear they remove everything!!

  • I’d try rubbing with either bi carb or Jiff.

  • When I worked as a housemaid, they had complete dinner sets that were white. To remove stains, we filled the sink with warm water and a dash of bleach. We left them to soak while we cleaned the rest of the cabin. Then thouroughly rinse them in fresh hot water. Worked for nearly all the stains I’ve come across

  • I like soaking in nappy san. When this doesn’t help try spraying with hydrogen peroxide or you could even make up some diluted bleach in a spray bottle.
