You could have everyone in the family who are close to her write a letter and include their favourite photo of her. Scan them all and pop them in a photo book (like with mixbook or snapfish), get it put together and she’s got a beautiful gift celebrating her and the relationships she has.

Does she like jewellery? Perhaps some nice earrings, watch or a necklace to wear that she will always remember you by. I made up a glory box for my sister, I filled it with heirlooms and antiques and the case was an antique too. She loved it!

I think you could ask her mum if she knows what she’d like or you could get something with sentimental value in years to come.

For my 21st I had to make my own video of growing up and I was sad about that because I felt like I was the only one excited. Maybe, if you have photos to make one if you know how to or someone else knows.

This is such a hard one to answer for those of us who don’t know your daughter. You need to choose something that would be meaningful to you and your niece

As a female from a very sentimental family I got so many random “keepsakes” for 18ths and 21st like the glasses and keys etc. I haven’t kept most of that stuff in my adult life as its not something I display so sits in a box, to me the most sentimental items I treasure are jewellery and can remember who gave me each pandora charm I own and for what occasion. Its something now as a mum of 3 girls i’m cautious of so have just got them a pandora charm bracelet that I can add to for special occasions.

I tend towards a keepsake or luxury gift for milestone birthdays (watch, bracelet, necklace). Otherwise a night in an all-inclusive stay at a luxurious hotel. If it’s an experience gift, it has to go all the way to be memorable

I’m reall sentimenteal with things like this I would get something with a 21 on it like a pendant or charm, a glass, a key that can be signed by people all that have 21 on it (you used to be able to get those keys from from gift stores etc)

I always like the idea of a locket or piece of jewellery that your niece will keep and hopefully wear for years and years.

I think something from Tiffany would be lovely.. maybe a Kate Spade handbag.

First Tiffany piece (under $200 for a charm etc) or first bottle of Chanel perfume (under $150 for small bottle of Coco or No. 5), if you can afford it I think it’s a lovely extravagance that they might not do for themselves.

An experience is a great gift.she will forever remember this. Maybe something you can get involved with too.

A charm bracelet with charms that are personalised to her – travel, times together etc might be nice?
