  • Why do you need to stop them? They end up stopping by themselves. Only cure I know of for hiccups in one do young is to scare them. Not very nice thou:/

  • haha I don’t think you can

  • Make them giggle?

  • 2 (of my 4) kids had terrible hiccups, but it actually seemed to comfort them. I was told it was rhythmical, calming like if you were patting them or swaying with them, and it helped their diaphragm to develop. They never cried in discomfort or distress. Eventually they grew out of it. My niece now has hiccups frequently. She uses a dummy, my kids didn’t. She uses a bottle, my kids didn’t. If you’re still worried, I’d talk to your child health nurse, but if bub is not upset by them, then I wouldn’t be concerned.

  • Hiccups aren’t painful for babies. It helps them develop their diaphragm.

  • Is there a reason that you need to cure them? My bub gets them frequently but it’s a sign that she is tired. She goes to bed and it doesn’t seem to bother her. If you want yo get rid of them I tried either a dummy or bottle/boob as the sucking motion tends to get rid of them.
