After getting what I assumed was Implantation bleed I also had pregnancy symptoms.I did a home pregnancy test that came up negative (the absorbent strip wasn’t entirely in the urine sample I did) and later that day got what I think could be a period. Its about half as much as normal and I still have pregnancy type symptoms. When I get my period – I’m regular, don’t get backache, nausea, smell aversions, tiredness, emotional, frequent urination, boobs feel uncomfortable etc like I’m currently experiencing. Could I be pregnant or is it just one of those random things?

  • I would wait and little and try another test. I bled with my son and didn’t think i was pregnant. I continued to bleed on and off for two months. He is here and a happy and healthy 3 month old. Good luck.

  • Some actually get more periods than before implantation.
You may have done the initial testing too soon.

  • I would give it a week and see how you are feeling. Then try another test. Good luck ????

  • And ? Any news ?

  • I would give it a couple of days and see if your period changes, I had light bleeding with my first and thought I was odd, I took 3 home pregnancy test all a week after the other and they were all negative, I went to my doctors and told them what was happening and they done a test in the office, it was positive. Some pregnancy test can be defective

  • I would head to my GP and get a blood test done. It could have been a chemical pregnancy (where conception occurred but it failed to implant). Chemical pregnancies really confuse our body’s responses and things can get just plain weird.

There are other causes too, so it’s worth getting a blood test done to know for sure and discuss the results with your GP.

  • With implantations some women still get their periods.

  • Goodness being a woman can bring lots of confusion! Those are definitely some symptoms but it could be your body playing tricks on you too. Maybe try another test, a first response is your best bet. Maybe even a trip to your doctor to get some bloods may be an option too.

  • Wait and see if your “period” gets heavier, if not, wait a few days and test again. As for the pregnancy symptoms, it could be period hormones fluctuations that are affecting you differently as you get older.
