Hubby and I will be trying to conceive in the new year but I feel like I need a good clean out. Just wondering if any mummies know of a safe detox program that doesn’t taste terrible. I eat healthily and everything but I just feel like having a bit of an extra boost before becoming pregnant. Pregnancy does not agree with my body at all so would like to clear out any nastiest beforehand.

  • Just spend the money cleaning up your diet. You have a detox system in your body already, your liver. Add more fresh food

  • I’ve heard that detoxes don’t really work or are not as good for people as they think. I would just stick to a healthy diet, lots of water, moderate exercise, and lots of sleep.

  • SO many ladies at work are raving about the 5:2 diet, and have had great success with it

  • Getting plenty of rest and sleep helps your body and you need a lot of rest and sleep during pregnancy.

  • Maybe consider I quit sugar? There’s a lot of info on their webpage iquitsugar.com

  • yeah i would check with the doctor especially being preggos. just eat well and maybe focus on a detox after baby is born. if you will be breastfeeding makes sure that the toxins won’t be released into the breastmilk. After i had bub, i wanted to get into working out and my doc told me to take it easy because your fatty cells are also holding toxins so as you shrink the fat away, the toxins are releasing into your body and therefore into your breastmilk. It is not good for the baby.

  • Eating a well balanced diet, drinking water and getting plenty of exercise is the best detox.
