I’ve been able to clean and declutter a lot of stuff that we have accumulated. As well as go through the kids clothes and get rid of some of those smaller clothes.
I gave birth just before the lockdown and it was great that my husband was able to work from home and be available to help. It was also good that I didn’t feel like I was missing out socially because everyone was at home.
I have learnt in-depth where my children are at with learning and although the lessons have given me a lot more greys, I have really enjoyed helping them and spending so much more time together as a whole family. I have also loved not having the morning rush or the afternoon kiss n ride chaos.
I’ve enjoyed life becoming a bit slower & found that without weekends packed with social engagements I’ve been able to have more me time for reading etc. we’ve also bee able to complete some long overdue tasks around the home.
I think there are many positives. Spending time with family, I’ve found the enjoyment in cooking and baking again and I have started to sort out though cupboards and spaces so some decluttering. I think it has made me more aware of the importance of relationships.
Hubby went cleaning mad during the first two weeks so basically most of the stuff was done then. I’ve made a list of things I can do and I’m checking them off as they are done.
