Our kids put their teeth next to the bed to be replaced with a coin

After the Tooth Fairy has visited, we throw baby teeth on the roof – it’s an old Italian tradition which is meant to ensure that teeth grow back straight.

We always do the tooth fairy….kids put it on the kitchen counter and the tooth fairy leaves a coin. If we actually forget we say to just leave it for another night as the tooth fairy must have been too busy. haha!

I keep them. Although I’m not sure why.
My dad still has all my teeth in a jar of methylated spirits.

I would put them in a zip lock bag tagged with the date it fell out and which tooth it was. I found them recently in a capsule I’ve kept for my son.

We have always done the tooth fairy.

The tooth fairy always visited and left a gold coin but took the tooth with her to put away in her safe in case they were ever needed again. I never kept them though but that’s only because I thought people would think I was weird. Funny how your thoughts change as you get older. I now wish I’d kept their first baby teeth.

I plan to keep my kids as they lose them

I have all my children’s teeth (they are adults now)
When they were little and they lost their very first tooth ..I wrote a note to the tooth fairy asking if it was possible for her to leave the tooth for us to keep…she left a coin and reply saying only to pleased.
When older and if the tooth has large bloody roots, soak the tooth in hydrogen peroxide…it cleans the tooth beautifully and removes all the old blood. I also have my sons wisdom teeth. Daughter still has hers in tack in her mouth.

We collect them in special plastic bag.

I will be getting a special container. My eldest lost his first tooth the other day!

My husband likes to keep them which I find really creepy…

I have my children put their tooth under their pillow & replace it with money.
$1 for a single tooth & $2 for a double tooth.
When they ask what the Tooth Fairy does with the tooth I tell them they sell them to the gnomes so they can make houses out of them just like bricks & mud. That’s where the tooth fairies get the money from to give to all the girls & boys.

At first I kept them but after a while I ended up throwing them out.

I will be keeping them, replace them with a gold coin (first tooth is worth more I think I got $5 for my tooth)
My mum still has all mine which is kinda cool
