Hello!

Has anyone asked their kids what they’ve learnt being in lockdown? I asked mine this morning and their answers made me teary. Is anyone willing to share what their children respond with, along with their child’s name and age for possible inclusion in a MoM article?

  • To appreciate being able to go to school. It’s amazing what is more appreciated when you’re unable to do it or have it

  • They said they love all the extra mummy time

  • Mine just love the sleeping in and not having to race to school ☺️

  • Family time is fun time!

  • My 3yo and 5yo are really missed their friends (they never been in childcare but we attended few playgroup during a week) and their grandparents. But they loved being at home and play in the garden every day, learning on reading eggs, planting new plants. We celebrated Archer’s 5th birthday just 4 of us and he said that was the best birthday ever ( we had our own jumping castle , had ice cream and I order Happy meals for the kids to be delivered).

  • That they do actually love spending time chilling out with their family.

  • We’re in Brisbane and haven’t been much in lockdown at all. My kids (especially the teenagers) are actually jealous with those who have been in lockdown !! Crazy hey ?!
