  • My mum wanted to come in but I said if she did I wanted my MIL to come in too, but my partner and I said we wanted to be in there alone during delivery.
I was induced which our families knew, they were expecting a call from us the next morning to let them know they could come in once the doctors broke my water. We called, but to tell them they could come in and meet their grandchild. My labour was fast and stressful, we didn’t even have a chance to look at the time let alone take any photos or call our families.
I have no regrets just being in there with my partner, I wouldn’t have it any other way from now on.

  • Right now you’re lucky if you can have your partner… generally I think you can have however many you like, unless you ask for some ridiculous number. Most people don’t want more than 2 or 3.

  • Just my husband. I didn’t want anyone else.
