We were always told to give our babies boiled water in between feeds if they had hiccups. This is no longer the case but it dosnt make slot of sense to me given the fact that we are largely made up of water.

  • Exactly because they are made up of a lot of water. Giving them. Water before 6months and too much of it could be a health is, potentially drowning them from the inside! Please research this, Ive been told by maternals .

  • I agree, it could be because of that. But to be honest my little one used to ask me for water and I would give it to her. I do not think that is an issue

  • I believe it’s because it could fill them up, and make them not want the far more nutritious breast milk or formula.
