  • Great cream alternative for Lactose Intolerant

    4 out of 5

Love this for making creamy pasta and desserts and other side dishes. I developed lactose intolerance later in life and for a while I really missed the dishes I used to enjoy. Although this is not as versatile and it can’t be whipped there are others versions that can be so keep an eye out

  • Not as versatile as non-lactose free (unfortunately)

I got this to make a cheesecake for Lactose free niece only to be disappointed that this cream can not be whipped so my cake didn’t turn out too great. I was excited to find it so she could enjoy cheesecake again but I wouldn’t bother getting this again to whip. I’m sure it’s fine for pouring or cooking as the taste was more than fine

Hmmm, there is something strange about this cream. It is ok in terms of it’s density and thickness, but the taste is a little bit different – not as creamy perhaps…

  • Great cream, just can't be whipped

This is a fantastic alternative for lose who do not tolerate lactose well. You can use this cream for everything… except whipping. I also wish it were a bit cheaper.

OK so I posted a rating for the light cream in the thickened cream spot and mom only allows you to post once …this cream is good for cooking and pouring but the light version (pale blue bottle) does not whip.
Here is the comment I posted on the other zymil bottle by mistake. (it refers to this zymil)
Pauls Zymil Light Thickened Cream is lactose free and is perfect for cooking and pouring but it is not suitable for whipping.
It has a lovely taste, is easily digested and will not cause tummy problems like regular cream.
It is great for pouring over apple pie or desserts and is just superb for cooking (makes wonderful creamy pasta.)
If you require a thicker consistency you can try adding some gelatin.
It comes in a 300ml bottle and is more expensive than regular cream but for us lactose intolerant folk it’s a dream.
Losers a star for not being able to be whipped and expensive price but hey it’s hard to be perfect and this dreamy creamy product does come very close.
Now seeing I can’t post a review on the darker blue bottle here is my review for that one.
Fabulous , has all the benefits of the light zymil but this version actually whips and is the superior of the two.

  • Awesome for us Lactose Intolerant Peeps!

I love the Zymol range – I get no pain and no upset tummy.. This cream can be whipped, or used as a pouring cream. It is also magic in cream based sauces. A fab alternative from a trusted brand
