Salted butter that does the job, whether just for greasing the pan, adding to a pasta dish or for baking a delicious moist cake, I would recommend this brand of butter for all mums. The kids even use it for their cooking needs and I’ve never had issues with it – highly reputable.

I love cooking and baking so go through a lot of butter. This butter from IGA was excellent value and quality, the ingredients were really simple with no fillers.
I used it to make cookies, it creamed really well and had a great flavour. They browned really nicely in the oven.

Wow! I purchased the Black & Gold salted butter to bake homemade cookies and could not fault it! The quality was top tier and exactly like the ‘named brands’. The butter provided a rich and salty flavour and melted down easily. A great price point and value for money. Will definitely repurchase more products from the B&G range. Thanks MOM!

If you need a butter for cooking, buy this. It’s a great cooking product at a good price. Don’t pay higher for brand names when this is great for cooking. My favourite way to use this is in a sage and brown butter sauce to have with a good quality pasta.

We found this butter did have an odd taste when eating it on its own. While cooking, the taste was fine.

Salty, buttery goodness! Easy to use, spreads well too. Loved this in my baking, and also great on crumpets too.

As far as budget brand butters go, this is the tastiest one by far ! It was rich and flavoursome and had quite a nice yellow colour to it. We used the butter as a topping for our Black & Gold pancake mix, which melted nicely on top. It was a delicious accompaniment to the pancakes we served with maple syrup. Yummo ! It does have better value than the big brand names.

This butter has a nice flavour and for the price it provides exceptional value for money. It is so much cheaper than other brands for the exact same product! I will continue to buy this and recommend to others for a budget friendly option that is as good as any of the other brand name products.

I really can’t believe the price of butter these days…this is over a dollar less than its competitors though. Taste….tick. Product of Australia….tick. No nasties….tick. We enjoy salted butter in this house. This didn’t disappoint. It went well on bread, biscuits and in cooking. It would be an easy swap to make in our shopping list.

I use salted butter to make my scrambled eggs most mornings, and the Black & Gold salted butter was as good as any other brand I’ve used. It melted easily and coated the pan nicely, and my eggs didn’t stick at all. And the outcome was very tasty, just the same as I’m used to with other butters. I buy a lot of butter for baking and cooking and this was as good as the other butter I usually buy. The first thing that impressed me was the markings on the packaging breaking down each 50g. I find that so handy, I don’t need to worry about measuring, I can just cut to where I need. The taste and flavour of this butter was creamy and did everything I needed it to do. There were no nasties in the ingredients and I love that this is a product of Australia.
I used it to make a lemon flavoured jelly slice and it whipped up perfectly, light and fluffy to make buttercream and decorate some cupcakes for the kids.
This will become a staple in my fridge.

Creams well with sugar for baking. Tastes very nice spread on bread but remember to take it out of the fridge first for a few hours before attempting to spread. No nasties in the ingredients, just cream and salt. Use unsalted if salt is a worry. Australian made is another bonus. Good value for money!

Used it for my cakes and muffins and it creamed up really well. Makes the cake taste really nice. Great value for money during these times, compared to the other home brands. With this testing, I have rediscovered IGA and will definitely be shopping there to get my necessities for the household.

I am a little bit of a butter snob and usually prefer to bake and cook with high-end French butters as I can taste the difference. This however, can get really expensive especially when doing a lot of everyday baking or when on a budget. This butter is a great everyday alternative, it’s a good price and the quality is reasonably good. I made some scones using it and they came out really tasty! I would recommend this for everyday baking and sauce.

Love the black & gold salted butter. We used it to make some cookies and they were a hit! The butter had just the right amount of salt to give the cookies a delicious taste. This butter is so versatile and can be used on almost anything! We also put it on our raisin toast and use to for Vegemite on toast too! A hit and not too bad in pricing. No additives or preservatives gives it a massive tick here!!

Black and Gold Salted Butter is perfect for baking and gave a lovely buttery taste to my peach tea cake. On opening the pack the aroma is rich and buttery. I used 250grams of butter with Black and Gold SR flour and White Sugar which are all comparable to the more expensive brands. Great quality butter that I’d be happy to purchase again for its great quality and value!

We like using Black and Golds Salted Butter as unlike other brands it doesn’t contain extra ingredients that don’t need to be included. Its perfect for baking and spreading on toast/sandwiches. Happy to replace other butters we usually use with this product.

We always have a block of salted butter in the fridge and the black and gold brand is perfect for what we use it for. Easy to cut, nice flavour and such value for money. Easy to re wrap package and the measurements on the side make for a good bonus

I tried this 250g block of salted butter for baking cookies, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. It’s comparable to the more expensive brands and delivers the same results—you really can’t tell the difference. I’d definitely consider purchasing it again, as it’s a great alternative that offers the same quality at a better price..

Last minute dashes to the supermarket are never normally fun. They usually end up costing a fortune and are rushed i was very surprised my late night dash to the IGA had every thing I needed at the fraction of the cost my kids have the great habit of never telling me when the butter is about to run out, so imagine my surprise at 8pm when I’m trying to make school lunches and its gone. Quick dash to the IGA and the kids couldn’t tell the difference.

This was good value and very good quality. I used this butter for baking, and it was just as good as more expensive branded butter. Definitely a product I would purchase again in the future and I definitely recommend it. Overall the butter is just great value for the price and quality.

Great value for money. I used this butter to bake with, I made cookies and a cake using the 250gram block. Everything turned out great and you wouldn’t know the difference between a branded butter or this one. I will definitely be purchasing this to bake with in the future.
