I’m really impressed with this unsalted butter, at $7 for 500g it’s great value. It’s smooth and creamy and I really like how the packaging has lines on the bottom of it showing what the portion size is in grams so I can just cut what I need. Very handy! Perfect for baking with, this is a staple for me now.

I use lots of butter in my cooking and baking, and I’ve tried many brands from all the different supermarkets. I like that my butter have a creminess to it, so that my bake goods comes out smooth and fluffy. I also like that my butter gives a nice browning from the maillard process. This butter does a little on both of the above mentioned. It’s comparable to most supermarket brand but not so much with other top quality butter. For its price, the butter would be of good value buy if you wish to use it for a normal daily use, but not so much if aiming for a better quality bake or a cook with a more luxurious ingredients, eg. wagyu steak.

I’m always conscious of the ingredients in products I buy, especially when baking. This butter has only one ingredient and no additives, which is a massive positive. I used it to cook and also to bake cookies and muffins. It has a great fat content, is smooth and creamy and worked very well in every dish, both sweet and savoury. Highly recommend!

You can’t go wrong with butter that lists only one ingredient and no additives etc! Tastes exactly as butter should – perfect for sandwiches, cooking. The fact that it’s not filled with nasty ingredients and is cheaper than other butters is a great win! Will be our go to from now on.

I often make my own ghee using unsalted butter because it is great for cooking and healthier. I used Black and gold unsalted butter to make muffins as well. It is excellent value and tastes great. I have bought 3 more butters to make my ghee again.

I couldn’t go wrong with Black & Gold butter when making buttercream for my son’s birthday cake. It mixed really well and when I added the icing sugar it was smooth and creamy.
