A very special bank account - Real Mum story on MoM

Imagine there is a bank which credits your account each morning with $86,400, carries over no balance from day to day, allows you to keep no cash balance, and every evening cancels whatever part of the amount you had failed to use during the day. What would you do? Draw out every dollar, of course!
Well, everyone has such a bank. Its name is Time. Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft. Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the records of the day. If you fail to use the day’s deposits, the loss is yours.
There is no going back. There is no drawing against the “tomorrow”. Therefore, there is never not enough time or too much time. Time management is decided by us alone and nobody else. It is never the case of us not having enough time to do things, but the case of whether we want to do it.

Geez that really hits home! I was a lot of my time in waiting for things to finish up before moving on to the next task. Need to work on this

Tell my husband that when it comes to mowing the lawns or home maintenance!! lol. But a good reminder of how important our time here on earth is.

Time .. so precious… more valuable than gold! Don’t regret the past and don’t yearn for the future but live in the moment… or something like that… and make every second count!

Lovely thoughts and ponderings. I am sure many of us could use our time more wisely. Everyday we are learning. Sometimes going back to bed for the day has actually been the best use of my time and other times I have tried to cram to much into one day. I have learned not to beat myself up if I haven’t achieved everything I’d hoped for in a day. But I have learned how to manage my time better as I get older.

Nice thoughts and story. I use my time well, but still run out of time. Life is crammed full, but I like it. I would rather run out of time, never ever bored!
