Adding to my brood - temporarily!! - Real Mum story on MoM

Good morning!! What a fine lovely day it is here – well, a little overcast but the birds are chirping and the kids are relatively happy. Running on next-to-no sleep at the moment due to some newborns…
Newborns – yes a plural. But it is not what you are thinking =P
Last night I added to our little family temporarily for a few weeks. So we now have mum (me), dad (my partner), my 3 beautiful boys, my gorgeous girl, our 2 dogs, and our little kitten that is now 3 weeks old (still bottle fed), and now, we have 3 more little kittens that are only about 3 DAYS old!!
My little 3 week old kitten is here to stay, she is our little baby… Her mother abandoned her and one other kitten out of her litter – the other kitten was found abandoned a day after my little girl was found. The poor little thing was on the brink of death, literally… But she is now doing well.
Well, now we have these 3 little kittens that were abandoned by their mother as well… A lady found them whilst moving a car (pushing it), and was lucky enough to just step over them instead of on them. She thankfully kept an eye on them yesterday, and after leaving out food for their mother, she still didn’t return all day, so now they are here.
Ahhhh, definitely a hectic household at the moment, and its definitely going to be interesting with an inspection just around the corner (not meant to have cats), but hopefully an application to have an indoor cat will be accepted so we can keep our little girl…
Thankfully the 3 day old kittens are doing well thus far, and I hope they all survive!!
Well, at least this will keep me from being bored =P
Please send any thoughts or prayers for the little kittens, I think they need all they can get!!

It’s so good what you did! I can imagine how hectic your household is now, but I can read a lot of happiness in your words too. Success with the inspection! And a lot of positive thoughts for the little kittens!

  Thanks for the positive thoughts =) Definitely a lot of happiness!! It honestly is great to be needed fully, and also knowing that all 4 kittens probably wouldn’t be alive right now if I didn’t have the heart to take them in… Besides their cuteness definitely makes it easy to deal with it all =P

  Thanks heaps!! So far so good =) The 3 week old kitten still isn’t sure of these other 3 “things” that have joined us lol so she is staying away from them for the time being =) I’m sure they will be all good friends at one point or another though before they find their forever homes =)

    With our first kitten, the 3 week old one… we got her and I was just going to raise it until 8 weeks then find it a home, but the partner has sorta fallen in love with it lmao so he compromised and said if its toilet trained, we can keep it. Lol he was SO happy when she went to the toilet in the litter tray this morning =P
    
    As for the other kittens, they have a LONG way to go but I will be only keeping them until they are about 8 weeks old or until they find a forever home =)
    
    So sad that cats are out there having kittens and abandoning them =( I will be making sure the homes that the kittens go to will be getting them desexed (if not, I might just pay for it and ask for the costs associated with the desexing).
    
    But the kittens are all currently happy and healthy and that is what matters =)
