All alone... - Real Mum story on MoM

For the first time in three years, I am all alone! Hubby has been out fighting fires, and little one has her first full morning at Kindy.

I have no idea what to do with myself! I should be cleaning, washing, tidying etc but I just cannot find the motivation to do so.

My parents were here for a visit from interstate last week, so the house is still kind of clean, the foxtel man who was supposed to be here at 7 has still not shown up, but hey, I have coffee!!!

Instead I am actually drinking a hot coffee (yes, you heard me -HOT!!!) and catching up with MoM!

1 hour and 45 minutes to go til pick up time…

Enjoy your ‘me time’ as it doesn’t happen too often. If the house is basically clean, basically is good enough hehe.

You will slowly get into a routine around kindy, school, life having a young preschooler….
Ahhhh… those were the days.
My husband and I were over that stage his boys are in High School & Grade 5 this year and my son is in year 4. Now we are due in April with our bub, so through the whole process again. ♡

It’s amazing what you get used to, without realizing it. Sounds like your bit of “spare” time happened just in the nick of time. Everyone needs a bit of “me” time, even if it’s only long enough to sit and relax with a hot cuppa. And don’t feel guilty for what you “should” be doing. For your own sanity, you need to cut yourself a bit of slack, and be kind to yourself.
