Anorexia is devastating... - Real Mum story on MoM

I found out recently that a family friends daughter who has been battling anorexia since the age of 8 (she is now 18) is now in palliative care. Her organs are paralyzed and are shutting down. I am just devastated that it is going to end this way and wish there was something I could do…

The family is an incredible bunch who are so kind and would do anything for others…yet some higher power couldn’t save her and let her live the amazing life she had ahead once over this illness.

This girl doesn’t want to die…but it is all too late…there is nothing they can do to save her..

Everyone hug your kids closer tonight and appreciate the little things…as some families are about to loose the most important thing of all..their child..

Thank you for sharing this difficult story. Awareness for others may be the first step in helping another child not go through this. My thoughts are with you and the family as you go through this tough time in your lives.

  yes i agree! you are getting awareness out there! anorexia can be hard to diagnose especially if the person refuses to acknowledge that it is happening. they try to make excuses to everyone.

oh my gosh! that is sad! i wish that they could give her the nutrients that she needs. she is only 18. my gosh poor thing. it is sad that this will take her.

Anorexia is such a terrible disease, this is awful for everybody and such a tragedy. Definitely unimaginable for the parents.
