back to school - Real Mum story on MoM

We woke up this morning to pouring rain. And an early start as it its the first day of term 2. It is a bit of a chock to the system as the holidays are suddenly over with a huge weather change as we have had lovely Easter weather. and the alarm clock waking us up rather than our natural body clocks.
Out come the jumpers, school blazers and winter uniform and it feels today as though summer is now officially over and we are in the winter term! I had better make use of this bad weather and get some tidying up done inside and all those chores I had put off during the holidays which now I have no excuse not to do!
I hope everyone had a great first day back catching up with friends at school and ready for the winter sports to start this weekend,

The nights are getting soooo cold already! We have had our wood fire blazing nightly, the past week. I love summer but I’m also loving the cool change.

First day back was a nightmare in my household to no matter how many nights before you put the kids to bed early to get them ready it still never works.
I’m on the count down to the next end of term already lol

I agree, the start of term 2 did seem to bring the start of the winter season with it I don’t mind the rain so much but the cold chill is awful.

It really really feels like holidays are over when it’s raining the first day back-miserable! On the bright side, entertaining them indoors is not our problem during term!

I love the rain actually we pray for rain as we are on tank but we are sitting here dry. At least it should be cool for you to get some of those jobs done
