  • Definitely get out of the house; exercise and fresh air is so good for everybody!

  • Get outside and let the kids run themselves ragged while you sit on a nice park bench.

  • Thanks ladies and yes the sun was out today and what a difference it make you feel.Took the kids outside and just enjoyed the sun for half an hour then back to mummies duties.Cannot wait for summer.

  • Yes very stressful. I have 3 yr old twins and a 7 yr old.
My 7 yr old is mostly at school but the twins are go go go.
I hardly ever get time to myself and when i do its bed time.
Getting out is amazing. even to the park. Give the kids a sand bucket and sit in the sun and watch them. Appreciate that “me time”. Then maybe once a month organise a dinner with a friend or go somewhere alone to spend some time with yourself

  • On a sunny day, get out of the house – go to the park. It’s amazing what a bit of sunshine and fresh air can do. Plus it gives the kids something different to look at and experience. It’s not a complete solution, but maybe for one of the days in the week, you will feel ok :-)

  • You’re right. It’s very stressful. I’m quite the worry-wart at times so when I’m not up with my little one in the nights, I’m busy worrying about my little one in the nights. But we’ll get there. My me time is a Zumba class each week. My hubby has organised to come home slightly early each Wednesday so that I can go.

  • I know how u feel I have 4 kids under 7, I find after the kids are in bed I get time to myself even if it is only an hour or so an I relax by having a warm bath before bed

  • To be honest, I never really managed it when they were small. Getting your husband to give you some nap time on weekends might help.

  • That is how most Mum’s feel. I would do all my washing at night as my Son needed to breathe warm moist air so we put the dryer in his room and I kept it going all night and when you finally close your eyes it was time to be up as the oldest would be up. This just means you are doing a good job
