  • Occasional care is a better option for occasional care.

  • Occassional Care is cheaper if your only wanting to use a few hours a week. Childcare centres charge you the full day whether your their or not :(

  • Need to find out more about this. In my area it cost about $90 per day.

  • I find a half day is a little confusing for them. It’s better and and more stable for them if they do a full day, as they will spend it with the same kids.its also better to have set days a week, the. Your child will get into then routine.

  • I think family care is more flexible but worth checking costs on both

  • I think it comes down to cost really as family day care will be much cheaper than child care.
i used to put my son in child care monday and friday mornings but if i had family day care near me i would of gone with that for sure, as you have to pay for the whole morning session which was from 6.30am till 12.30pm but i never got him there till 8.30am so missed out on 2 hours that i still had to pay for where with family day care you only pay for the actual amount of hours they are there.

    • O wow didn’t no that will look into it I no with occasional care near me it’s $10 per hour but I don’t no about day care cost yet until after child care rebate is put in
