Hello!

I love cooking with my kids! It’s something that I’ve always done since they could hold a wooden spoon. Some mums I know won’t let their kids in the kitchen because they can’t stand the extra mess that usually happens or they are wary of kitchen safety hazards. Teaching my kids kitchen skills has helped me a lot in day to day life. They are able to make themselves sandwiches, know how to turn the oven, can use a grater and vegetable peeler and can also use the mircowave. As they have been taught about ‘hot’ things, they are very cautious around the stove. We pratice knife skills with butter knives on food like bananas, cheese, cake, etc, things that are easily cut. My goal is to have them making a main meal once a week when they reach their teens. Wish me luck!
