Domestic travel insurance - Real Mum story on MoM

Most people would have read about the importance of travel insurance for their international trip, but what about trips within Australia? I took out domestic travel insurance and it came in very handy when my hire car was pelted with hailstones. The rental car excess was huge and I was able to use travel insurance to cover most of the expense of the excess.

Thats interesting to know that if you travel often you can also take out annual travel insurance! Great!

I buy travel insurance annually. It’s not much more than one and a bit trips so if you fly more than once a year, it’s well and truly worth it.

I have not used domestic travel insurance; never had a need for too.

True, I’ve never given much thought to domestic insurance.
