Hello!

Ok so I constantly get unhappy with looking at my furniture and the way it is set out and also how things just don’t look fresh after a few weeks. I constantly have to move everything around and up until about 2 years ago would do it at least every 2 weeks. I have always found that once I move things then everything looks so refreshing and clean. My partner would come home and his first words where ” what have you moved now.” Now that my furniture is so heavy I cannot lift anything, not the bed, not the tv unit, bookcase, I can no longer move anything without his help so I am very limited but do move everything I can. I am writing this as yesterday I did the full change and everything looks so fresh and beautiful but I did have to nag my partner to help with all the heavy furniture.

  • I like to refresh with new cushions or a new rug or throw! Why not!

  • Maybe just a good dust and polish? Or how changing cushion covers, rugs, table runners every once and a while?

  • I like to also move rooms around not just for the fresh look but I just like a different look and see if I can pack things better

  • Your article last week inspired me, so I cleaned up and moved furniture around. It was great

  • My furniture is also very heavy and hard to move, plus the layout of our house doesn’t allow for too many changes of furniture, so I just refresh with accessories.

  • I dont think I would ever be motivated to go to all that effort. I commend you on always wanting things to look refreshed.

  • I have floors witch are slate with wash them with hot water and a bleach ,We make it strong I also do my bath and basin with bleach as I have those fragrance sprays which I have 2 in the lounge 2 in the kitchen 1 in each or the 3 bed rooms 1 at the end of the hall way and one in the toilet I also use Ambi Pur to spray lounge curtains as well as our bed and I also use Glenn 20. You could also get a melts or oil burner get the good hundred % oils and I use the electric.
also you can get the cans and the holders you need for the spray they go off on a timer and the Aldi are much cheaper unit and more can refills. I would also be looking for anything that may have died in or under or in the roof

  • Spring cleaning in autumn is perfectly acceptable. I don’t blame you, sometimes just moving and changing helps , good on you

  • Have you tried adding accessories instead of moving all of the furniture? new cushion covers or a rug might give you the same fresh feeling.
