Hello!

Master J loves the fridge as soon as the door opens he barges in and I mean literally barges past me and tries the grab some food usually it’s the grapes as I used to put them on the bottom shelf. I have now swapped the shelves and he still pushes past but now tries to grab anything hoping its something he can eat! Of course this was OK till he grabbed the eggs out of the fridge and were a little heavier then he expected!! He is that jolly quick that there generally is no time to grab whatever he has grabbed and I end up running after him! Yes I do feed my son despite the fact he acts as if he is never fed. What scares me is we are talking about a toddler not a teenager! Every body tells me teenage boys eat a lot. Boy oh boy fun times ahead :)

  • Sounds like you’re kept on your toes with that one. Have fun working out a way to put a stop to that

  • My teenager goes though phases as I think most kids do – either feast or famine

    • You are right! There certainly are different stages of growth!

  • I keep a fruit bowl and cut up veggie sticks that the kids can help themselves to.

  • Kids need so much food as they use so much energy. I have a snacks tub full of different foods and the kids can choose food from the tub. This does help with keeping some control over the food. Good Luck! :)

  • Poor you! Better to put the eggs a little higher.
And it’s surely a good idea to put safe healthy food in the lower shelves for him to grab.
Success when he will be a teenager! ;-)

  • Maybe a child safety gate to keep him out of the kitchen?
