Last weekend my partner, mother and 5 month son went on holidays to airlie beach for a wedding. As mum was looking after my son, i took my breast pump (the avent manual) to express int he lead up and afterwards so mum could feed bub. Went to use it a few days before the wedding to get a bit extra just incase in the fridge, and realised id left the valve on the kitchen bench at home! I had to have a pump, and looked at buying a new one it was going to cost $80! My partner went to the local chemist and asked if we could buy a replacement kit, but being thursday and the wedding saturday they couldnt guarantee it arriving. But the lovely staff at the chemist, offered to give me the valve out of theirs! they had finished having kids and no longer needed it! I was gobsmacked! arranged to pick it up friday morning, BUT again above and beyond, the lady organised the part to be dropped in and called me at 2pm to go in and collect it! I cant thank those ladies enough!
