Hello!

I decided a few years ago that I would a random act of kindness every single day. I was cleaning and repairing my brothers grave at our old cemetery and noticed how many others were in a sad state, so I cleaned them up as well, redoing the writing, gold leaf, moss removal. One day a lady was wondering around the cemetery, I asked her if I could help her, she said she was looking for her baby. I got her details, came home and looked it up, I found the grave and went back to the cemetery and found it was unmarked. She was never going to find her baby. I made a headstone for her and got as many details as I could and went to her house, I was able to tell her she had a daughter, I couldn’t believe she was never told the sex or were she was buried so I went to the council and got a diagram of the area, so many babies were in unmarked graves, so I made a plaque for each and every one of them. The end result was I reunited many families with their lost babies. Such a wonderful feeling.

  • That is so sad! To not know whether you had a son or daughter. Not being told where they were buried. How sad. What a wonderful thing you are doing

  • Having people in the world like you with your random acts of kindness makes this world a better place.. Having burried a bubs myself (we were lucky enough at that time we were able to have some savings so could afford a headstone and a proper burial) .. But knowing you helped this person at a time of heartache is great..

  • Thank you everyone, I think if everybody made the effort to do a random act of kindness, the world would be a better place. So far I’ve restored close to 600 graves of the 2 and half thousand or so in the Ulverstone Cemetery
