with after school sports and finishing work late i was wondering if anyone had meal ideas that you make on a that reheat well the next day (without drying out or taking too long)? Thanks.

  • I make bulk lasagne, and freeze that, sometimes spaghetti bolognaise.

  • I freeze stews, rice-a-risso with mince, steak with gravy chicken with gravy, I also freeze gravy when i make it as well as stock also cooked chicken pulled apart put into containers for a cheats chicken dish be it pasta or stir fry also for toasted chicken sandwiches what ever I make I make double of and freeze deviled sausages.

  • I would agree I love my slow cooker. Fantastic invention for busy people. Always the old Legos pasta bake with mince and veggies added to a jar that is quick on a busy week night. I work full time as well, so totally understand.

  • I make a sausage curry with rice & it tastes better reheated the next day. I fry up sausages, then add onion, garlic & curry powder. Frozen vege ( cook for 5 mins in microwave if in a rush) or add fresh vege. make up instant gravy and add to fry pan! All done! Rice cooks in rice cooker at the same time.

  • why dont u try putting the slow cooker on in the morning then it eill be ready and heated by tea.
