So big w had a rewards card member pre sale for the toy sale so I went in a day before it started to miss the midnight rush and the crazy lines. I posted on Facebook that I was happy I missed the rush and glad with what I got, but didn’t I hear about it from my cousin of all people. She told me it was unfair and I should not have done what I did, now she’s carrying on that most of the things are sold out. I told her how to get a card but she opted to not get one. I didn’t know a toy sale could bring out the mean side of a fully grown woman. Did you miss the rush?

  • Yes your cousin sounds a little bit silly reacting over something not very big! ;)

  • Is the Big W rewards card you are referring to The Everyday Rewards Card from Woolworths?

  • Wow. Bit of an over reaction by the sounds of it. I only went to the toy sales today to get something for my son’s birthday. A few things were sold out but mainly clothes. And it wasn’t even busy.

  • I always miss out. But that’s my choice :)
I’m one who laybys things when I feel the time is right.
When it comes to my children, I don’t care about whether the items are on special or not.
They get what they need and want at whatever prices the tag shows.

  • I had no idea there was one!

  • It is crazy….It gives me the irrits…it was easy to get a card even just for that one purpose.

  • I used to do the insane midnight Target toy sale. I no longer care if I miss out. I have over 5 months to buy what I wanted from the sales. Sure the long layby makes it so much easier and more affordable, but I just put a little extra aside each week into a christmas saver account that I can access in December.

  • Haha… Sorry, couldn’t help but laugh. Really? Over a toy?

  • I’m glad I missed the rush. I can’t stand the greedy side of things it brings out in some people. I have heard stories of people pushing and shoving etc.

  • I totally missed it, I mean not the rush but the toy sale! I don’t think we need any more toys!

  • Well you know what they say… Jealousy is a curse.

  • yep target is about to have theirs. These toy sales are either a great way to layby or purchase for christmas or they will make you broke lol.

  • Your cousin is the one missing out by not having a card! I started early last year for Christmas shopping but the grandkids change their minds on things they want so I’m going to hang on a bit longer.

  • Wow, that sounds like an overreaction. I also went a few days before the sale officially started and fit a few things. So much easier, but I’m surprised more people didn’t take advantage. You did have to know the sale prices though as they weren’t up yet.

  • Your cousin sounds so silly to get jelous over something so small.

  • I did not bother going, I was going to wait until the Target toy sale. But yes, over the 9 years I have had kids, the toy sales bring out the worst in full grown adults who should know better….

  • Good grief. I didn’t know there was a midnight rush.

  • Are you kidding? Get a card or a life cousin.

  • wow i smell jealousy lol don’t worry about it, it is a toy sale for goodness sake. We didn’t go. Target will have theirs next.
