Hello!

While this may sound silly, I am struggling with the death of our best mate. While he may be of the four legged kind, he has lit up our lives for the last 17 years. He was wonderful with the children, and a bit of an old soul (cheeky too). I now find myself saving tid-bits on a plate in the fridge then realizing he isn’t here to eat them. I miss him barking at me to share my food with him, kissing our noses, cuddles on the couch, the kids reading him story books and his general presence. While I am so thankful for the time we all had together, my heart is still broken…I’m sad that my little world will never quite be the same again.

  • I am so sorry for your loss. Google the Rainbow bridge poem. It makes me cry but gives hope about seeing our Fids (furry, feathered or finned Kids) again.

  • Pets really do become part of the family.

  • I’m sorry for your loss. My daughter likes to think that her ‘good dogs’ are up in doggy heaven looking down on her. Pets really become part of the family and it is hard when they pass.

  • I’m sorry for your lost. Animals are part of our family. It’s normal to suffer when we lose them. It’s like a part of us has gone with them.

  • It is so normal to be grieving and it can last a very long time and he will always be with you. Pets touch and fill our hearts with so much love. Sending positive thoughts your way. x :)

It’s not silly that you are struggling with it. It’s completely normal.
