Hello!

On Friday my son’s school had organised a Mothers Day stall with the same usual (tacky -can i say that) merchandise; -mugs, tea-cups, cheap chocolates, bars of soap and pens (just what i need more of). I knew how excited he would be to buy me his first real Mothers Day gift, so i placed some money in an envelope, in his bag and instructed my husband to tell him what to do. Friday when i picked him up from school he was just glowing with excitement, and ever so carefully carrying his plastic bag with gift inside. I cheekily asked him what was in his bag, and he replied “Its something really special, and i cant tell you, but its for Mothers Day, and when its Mothers Day i will give you your suprise” I replied just as excited that i couldnt wait. All the way home from school and all of Friday night question after question of “when is Mothers Day” “Do you want me to give you a clue, you can guess your present if you want”. Then early this morning at the break of dawn i awake to him standing over me with his crinkled plastic Bag, he said “Happy Mother’s Day Mum, you can open your present…..Its a Coffee Cup”. I didnt have the heart to tell him it wasnt Mothers Day yet. He was just so proud.
