Hello!

I just wanted to share my story. For years now I have been the only member of my family that ever left and moved away from the area. To me I found it exciting and adventurous as not many people well my school friends stayed put as well, they too have ended up moving away. Time changes everything and as you grow and so does your family, you wish sometimes you lived back near your family. At times you miss out on all the family get together”s but mange to attend a few. You miss out on just dropping in and maybe sharing dinner and most of all your kids miss out on the way you grew up. So I am now looking at day and weekend trips so my kids don’t miss out, so they can experience all the wonderful things that I did as a child.

  • I live away from my family to but have been lucky to make friends that I count as extended family.

  • one of the things I found as a child to regret the most, was the fact we had no other family here, everyone else lives in the UK. keeping close to family is important, those day trips sound perfect.

  • I wish that was possible for me also to go more often to family. Unfortunately all my family are interstate and some distance away and
    It’s expensive to travel :(

  • That’s a great idea to do things and make memory’s for your children. When we left our old house and moved out into the rural area I missed like mad I could not just pop in and we use to have card nights at our house and video nights so we spent a lot of time with them. So moving for me was hard as this had been my 10 year routine
