Hello!

I was lucky to win a four week at home bootcamp designed for mums through Mom’s. I have had about 5 kilos to lose since I had my youngest children, twins, 14 months ago. Nothing has worked to budge those pesky baby kilos so I was feeling very down about it all which was affecting my children and husband. Hopefully this bootcamp will be the answer.

I was very excited to receive all the information. I have printed it out and placed it in a display folder. I have retread the info countless times. I need to so I stay focused as I won’t lie, this bootcamp is quite strict with what you can and can’t eat. It’s not hard though as meal plans and recipes are provided. The food you need to eat is not expensive or hard to find either. The meals are also suitable for all family members although I will make some changes for family so its not so strict for them.

Today I am up to day 5. I hurt all over from the workouts. The positive is that I have taken to exercising in the morning to get it over with! The workouts are short but intense which is what mums need with small children at home.

I am fighting the urge to pick at foods not allowed on the plan as although you are meant to clear your kitchen some foods like cheese need to stay for my children. The urge has won a few times but I am fighting the best I can. It is very tough making your mind strong. I am trying to focus on why I want this and what I need to do to succeed. I think it’s like with anything worthwhile in life, there will be sacrifices and it will be hard at times. But already I am feeling better about myself, the pain in my body means changes are happening, I’m happier, I’m giving my children more positive time, I’m nicer to my husband, the house is cleaner and I am more organised. Bring it on I say! I will do further updates as I progress through the bootcamp.

  • That is really great feedback. Are you able to provide a list of the foods you can’t eat? I understand if it perhaps information that you cannot provide? Cheers,

  • Those last couple of kilos are often the hardest to budge! It’s only 5kgs though, is it really enough to stress about? I’m still 10kgs above my pre baby weight, worse then you! Good luck with your boot camp :))
