Hi to all mums my name is Rebecca and I have a daughter who is 21 and has had two miscarriages and has now been diagnosed with polysistic ovaries and is struggling to fall pregnant and every time she thinks she is pregnant when her time of the month comes and she gets her pregnancy test back its negative she ends up so sad and I try comfort her but it still hurts, I’m unsure what to do. Most of the women in my family including me have struggled or miss carried before getting pregnant. I’m hoping a mum might be able to help with some thing she might be able to do ( all her blood tests are normal) thank you from a helpless mum..

  • Trying to get pregnant can be so stressful and even the stress can inhibit success. I agree she should look to find a counsellor to discuss her options. And if possible try to relax!

  • A counsellor that specialises in this particular area may be useful for your daughter.

  • maybe she should seek counselling and help to work out her options.

  • Maybe join a POCS support group – they are helpful and can give advice and support too. Eating healthy food and meditating to be relaxed can help – which can be difficult as there is already stress around getting pregnant when you have POCS. But with repetition it can work well.

  • Pregnancy issues can be terribly stressful and debilitating when the desire for a baby is strong. Try to support her as best you can – it’s tough.
