My Daughters achievements - Real Mum story on MoM

im so proud of my youngest daughter. Shes 18 and moving to the city next month to start her university degree in registered nursing. If they have a placement after february she will be jumping over to midwifery. This is such an achievement and i will miss her but i will hopefully hearing great things shes doing. I went to university now shes going. 1st one out of six. My son went in the navy to do his career which is similar but another avenue to do aviation engineering. I hope she returns to the country after this is completed. Shes also suffered from a medical disability too. So extra proud

Its getting close to the time now by the end of feb. She hasnt gone yet but i feel im already missing her

This is a lovely story – thank you for sharing. I think we ‘hold our breath’ for much of their childhoods. I know that now my two oldest are 14 and 15 and both lovely young adults I have sighed with relief so many times that we have all come so far!

You must be so proud!! I too am from the country and had to move to the city to complete my nursing degree. I have not and will not ever forget where I’m from and I can’t wait to move back to the country in the near future!
I’m sure she will always call the country home we can’t help it, it’s in our blood

Wow, that’s great! Having grown up in a rural area, I know how it feels to have to go away to do schooling. My last year was spent 4 hours from home. It’s fantastic that she has started on this journey, and I wish her all the best. Congratulations
