Hello!

Sorry to brag but I am seriously just a little proud of myself right now. My 2nd baby is now 4 months old and that means I have been breastfeeding him for 4 + MONTHS!!!!! My first bub would not latch, after 3 lactation consultants tried, bleeding, screaming, crying, terrible wind ect I gave up and expressed for 6 months. I didn’t think this really affected either of us until I was pregnant 2nd time around and I had the worst fear that I would have the same issues. Well day 1 bub wouldn’t feed and I started to panic but day 2 he just got it and hasn’t stopped. I copped a lot of flack first time around so now I just want to give a big :-P to all of those people!

  • How horrible that you copped flack for not being able to breast feed.

  • good on you, we had problems breastfeeding our first child as his sucking reflex was not fully developed when he was born as he was not full term. It is wonderful to see a bottle fed baby thrive instead of trying to breast feed unsuccessfully an always hungry little baby. With our second, what a difference, she was a natural at breast feeding. To all the knockers, don’t judge, not everyone can breastfeed easily, there are lots of different reasons why babies are bottle fed.

  • WooHoo! Well done! I think it dreadful people feel the need to judge a non breastfeeding Mum, as it is guaranteed they do not know the circumstances, but what a huge delight it must be for you to have it work this time round!
