Hello!

I am sitting here finding my mind racing at 1000 miles an hour so thought I may as well get up and get some work done if my body won’t let me sleep. I check my emails and news saddened at the thought that as I write this, Mercy has not been granted in the case of the Bali 9 ring leaders. Don’t get me wrong, I think they should be punished for their actions, but why was punishment held off for 10 years? I guess I understand that some countries laws allow the death penalty (I am glad we are so luck to live in a free and somewhat safe country) why does it have to be carried out in such a violent way? While yes they were stupid and did the wrong thing, I am sure they deserve a tiny bit of dignity in the way they die? The world can be a cruel place

  • I too was horrified to hear if their executions. I honestly didn’t think the Balinese would go through with it, especially after it making headlines all over the world. I would hate to fe their mothers :,(

  • My sympathy is extended to the families at this loss; they were babies once and it is unimaginable to have your children taken from you.

  • This is a complex and complicated issue which delves into human rights and politics. My sympathy is extended to their families that will be grieving.

  • I don’t support the death penalty, and agree this was pretty brutal. But they didn’t have much sympathy for their victims before they got caught – some people seem to have lost sight of that.
