One day, my husband and I were out shopping with our baby. We both bent into look at Baby at the same time and bumped heads. Ouch! I rubbed my head and we continued to shop. Slowly, my head started to throb then ache. The sensation wouldn’t go away. My husband told me to stop complaining.
When we returned home, I had to lie down. My husband, who up to this point, had not taken my complaints seriously, started to get worried. The pain continued and photophobia developed. I breastfeed and settled my daughter with tears in my eyes. After which, I fell into a deep sleep.
I was woken up by my husband by my side asking “Who is the prime minister of Australia”? I laughed at him.” Are you serious”? “Just tell me”. “Julia Gillard”. “What is the date”? I answered correctly.
My husband continued” I’ve signed up for ambulance cover. If you had vomited, I I would have taken you to hospital” “How do you know that”?” “I googled it”.
It is nice to know that he took my semi concussion seriously. After all, it was a knock against his hard head that was the cause. Annoying though, so he didn’t even feel the bump.
