So ive had only a few friends since leaving school i didnt really branch out into other groups and make new friends. But i was happy with the few i had and thought id have them forever. However they all remained single while i got married. That was fine but once i got pregnant and had a baby well they all dissapeared. I thought theyd be ok with since they have other friends with kids but apparently they dont think of me they dont think imight need someone in this hard time of my life ?

Not all friendships last forever. I used to think that you had to hold on to friendships at all costs, but it’s not so. What hurts is when someone who you thought was your friend doesn’t end up supporting you or being there for you. Don’t waste your time or emotion on people who don’t want to be a part of your life, as these people appear to be. It’s up to you to make new friends, and a mother’s group is a really good place to start, because you’ll find other mums who will share many of your interests and problems. If you’re not sure about groups in your area, contact your local council or community centre for information.. I wish you well.
