I have posted a bit lately, and many of you have asked me to keep you updated. My ASD/ADHD daughter has been a little harder than normal last few weeks and now we have realised why… Transition… its the ending of year 3 for her and the unknown. Her school has been amazing. they have already arranged what class she is in for next year and her Teacher, who is someone my girl looks up too and also someone who understands the way my girl functions.. she her anxiety has lessened alot! THANK GOD!!!!!! We are going away on the 8th of Jan to see my neice and nephew so she has a focus point thats past christmas to get her through this time.. She dont handle xmas all that well and everyone seems to overwhelm her so I have told everyone this year do you know what you can give randa?!?!?! my answerr SPACE… so hopefuly the day dont go too mud!.However I normally dont give her ritaliin on weekend to give her a break but I and her are finding that 2 days is 1 day too long without it, so come sunday its needed and she is such a content and relaxed girl.. and even said thankyou to me, as now she can see where you brain paths are leading too… I am getting that she means she was soo chaotic inside she didnt know where she was going.. so Least I know as a mum I am doing the right thing.. cuz believe me sometimes I feel I am doing more things wrong than right!.

Its taking alot of years so get to this point.. 2 yrs ago I would of said I have NO IDEA, I DONT KNOW WHAT IM DOING as the yr leading up to her diagnoses I was outta depth and when it was I think I was overwhelmed. But now its opened my eyes and ears and I see things in totally different ways. her teacher who she had this yr had her the yr she was diagnosed, and said she cant believe its the same girl xxx she has come so far. Yes im sure there will be days and I promise I will shout and scream! thankyou for listening, it means alot to me x

  • wow you are an amazing woman and it is beautiful to see how connected that you are to your child. you do seem to be observant and know what is best for your child. it seems like you are handling this ok but at anytime that you need to speak to someone, you should let it out. i understand that it can be difficult to be in a situation like yours but keep your head up! well done mumma!
