My friends are a true treasure. One of my best friends who I have known since high school is more like a sister to me. There is never any tension between us or any guilt over who called who last. We just get it that we both have very busy lives as mothers, but are there for one another in spirit and know if the going gets too tough we will be there for one another.
Another friend of mine I see a lot of at the moment, as both of us have children at the same school and we do a lot of volunteering together. Next year will see a change as our children will be going to different schools, but we have said we’ll keep our volunteering work going.
Now and then we go shopping together and out to lunch. Funny, but our husbands both joke about us spending all our time shopping and having lunch together! Secretly I think they envy us.
My friends are truly wonderful and I’m glad to know them.
