Unexpected Delivers make a nice change

Hi All.
So since being out of work I picked up a little time filler that is commonly known as Comping.
Although the wins have not always been big they have always been welcome. If we do not put them to use they have been gifted to those that are in need of or would love them. Winning a prize in itself is exhilarating but being able to share it with others has been the best feeling.
Though the trigger for today’s short story is that I just took delivery from our local postie/star track driver. Was not expecting anything and that the parcel had my name on it already got the ticker pumping lol.
Upon opening the medium sized and reasonably weighted box I can say I was absolutely delighted to have received a large range of Australian made beauty and skin care products! Close to $200 worth and items that I’d generally consider a luxury and not be able to purchase for myself. The company info and prize details had been outlined in a letter inside the box and I have to say that receiving the unexpected deliveries are so much more exciting and a nice change than waiting for prizes to turn up that you have received a phone call or email about.
It’s put a positive spin on my day and I must say I’m looking forward to treating my skin a little for the next few months going by the quantity received.

Try this site http://www.competitions.com.au/ easy to become a member (no cost) and they have a forum where other members are extremely happy and helpful when it comes to pointing you in the direction of other comps or better ways to enter.

It is wonderful to read your story. I had a comment published in a magazine that I subscribe to this year. I had entered months ago and forgotten all about it. I had not read the magazine month where my comment was published so when I received the parcel containing an $80 cook book, and I was very confused. I went back through the magazines and found my published comment. The prize corresponded.

I have no idea what Comping is.. are you able to elaborate a bit more info for me? I have the worst luck, but would love to try this

  Comping is just a term I think that was coined for taking part in competitions. There are some online sites that post all the current Australian competitions, whether they be the facebook ones, instagram, sms or the 25 words or less ones . There are such a huge variety put up daily as I think most companies use this as a form of marketing the more people involved the wider spread knowledge of their products are.
  I know people who enter everything going but I find it less consuming to just enter the ones with prizes I’d love to win or that I know can be given to someone who desperately wants it.
  You’d be surprised how often you get ‘lucky’ if you just choose to enter.
  I recommend looking up competitions online and using the ones that are Australian based.

    thank you thank you thank you! i have been wanting to enter more comps but didn’t know where to start! i don’t know what are legit places and facebook…arrrggghhhh…..most comps (i don’t find many) but they have thousands of people enter and i don’t even get a chance to get looked at!
