Used clothes - Real Mum story on MoM

I was given a bag of used clothes from someone that had planned to throw them in the bin. I recycle, reuse and repurpose and do not believe in waste. I went through the bag and much to my surprise some of the clothes still had price tags on them! I kept some of the clothes and shared the rest with family and friends. They are now getting good use from many people. I am still horrified to think they could have ended up in landfill. It is important to recycle, reuse and repurpose. I share clothes and goods with family and friends and give to charity.

I try to do this as well however I am not a huge consumer of new clothing – I tend to were my stuff to within an inch of its life lol

i’ve had the same, though the ones with tags were not very nice. But yes, reuse and avoid landfill where possible.

I agree there is no point throwing clothes out if you can recycle to family and friends or give to charity.

That’s wonderful. We do the same.
When I was pregnant, a friend gave me 5 bags of clothes, what wasn’t maternity, was larger clothes in wonderful condition.

I am completely with you. No sense in throwing away clothes (or other stuff) that other people can use. Such a waste!

  I know – I expected them to be old and tatty, instead of mostly new. Waste is not needed.

    I have offered to find new homes and take any other unwanted stuff to charity. Just makes good community sense.
