This is just such a beautiful music video by a young nineteen year old. It’s about his friend Sophie who tried to commit suicide. It’s called Broken. Anyone who has lost someone young through suicide knows how devestating it is. You can often pick up the telltale signs in hindsight, but not at the time. Things like wanting to give away their treasured possessions. Changes in mood. My friend told of when he was younger and tried to kill himself. He also had Obsessive Compulsive Disorder albeit mildly, but this is a form of depression. On the surface he was a happy guy. Unfortunately he succeeded and we were all broken.

Suicide definetly needs more awareness so I I thank you for posting this. I saw an alarming story last night on to that divide is as high as 7 a day in Australia. This is a shocking statistic and there definetly needs to be more help.

one of my friends girls just passed away from this. but sometimes you never know whats going on in their heads…. you should all talk to your kids. and have fun with them

Thank you for sharing this. It made me cry but also serves as a reminder. As a Mum to a tween, and teen (as well as a toddler) and remembering the “full-on” emotions and feelings I had at that age, I am ever watchful.
