I have two beautiful, smart, and cheeky boys. They light up my life. Everyday, I must tell the a hundred times each “I love you’s soooooooo much! A hundred, million, trillion! ” They show me how much they love me, with a hug around the legs when I am washing up, with their endless need for cuddles and attention, with their happy squeals at each meal and snack I serve up. I am lucky like that. I longed for what seems like ever to hear the actual words ” I love you Mummy” from that little mouth with the Cheshire cat grin ( my youngest is still only one so all he says is Yeah! and Mum, Dad. ) I felt a little put out when he started saying it to my husband off to work at 6am “Wuv woo Dad!” I was more than a little put out. After all, I must tell them every hour how much I love them. He does echo a lot of what I say though. I know one thing for sure, it may be a wait yet, but when I finally hear those precious words they will bring tears to my eyes, as I know they will be said with meaning.
