After enlisting the help of her Parenthood costars to reveal that she was expecting her first baby, actress Mae Whitman has now given one of them the ultimate honour.
The 35-year-old revealed she’s given birth to her first baby, naming her son after her Parenthood costar Miles Heizer.
“Not to be a Bieber about it but I too just gave birth to our son, Miles. From the moment we heard the first tiny sound out of his tiny piggy mouth we were besotted. He is the kindest, gentlest, smartest, funniest little beebee and he’s our best friend (pretty much exactly like his namesake Uncle Miles @younggoth)
“We are infinitely grateful he chose us as his parents.”
She shared her pregnancy news three months ago, by uploading a photo with fellow actors Lauren Graham and Miles, who play her mum and brother on the series, along with her baby bump.
She captioned the photo, “Not to make a Parenthood episode out of it or anything but!!! Mother’s Day looking a little different this year! Can’t wait to meet you, huge baby kicking my insides to filth! #ruveal”
Mae play Amber Holt on Parenthood for six seasons, which was loosely based on the 1989 film. In the final season, Amber gets pregnant and gives birth, so it’s only fitting that her co-stars were part of her real-life pregnancy reveal!
Despite the cult-favourite show ending eight years ago, the cast are still close, regularly sharing photos of get-togethers.
