A lovely way to encourage native birds to your garden!
Material
- 1 Coconut
- 1 Hacksaw
- 1 Hammer
- 1 Piece of wire
Method
- Husk your coconut and prick the 'eye' to drain the milk.
- using the hacksaw slice halfway down from the top and halfway across from the middle.
- Remove the coconut flesh or you can let it dry out and remove it later. Tie the wire through the 'eye' , fill with seed and you have a efficient bird feeder!
Notes
This will last quite a long time. Coconuts are a strong and versatile material, suitable for a number of uses
