Hello!

It was time to replace my butterfly shadow box and what better way than with memories of my second favourite country. The photo was taken by my daughter and it is an awesome shot of an amazing koru . The ceramic heart features the famous NZ silver fern and the sml metal bar above reads Kia Ora.
Do hope you like it and I hope I have inspired you to create a memory frame of your own and I look forward to hopefully seeing some of you lovely mums work. xx

Material

  • 1 shadow box frame
  • 1 photo
  • decorations
  • blu- tack
  • command hook

Method

  1. Position your photo in frame.
  2. Simply decide where you like the decoration/ornament to be placed and secure with a sml ball of blu -tack.
  3. Secure back of frame. Position command on wall and hang the frame and your done.
  4. Stand back and admire your photography and the beautiful memories the photo holds.

Notes

The koru (Māori for "loop"is a spiral shape based on the shape of a new unfurling silver fern frond and symbolizing new life, growth, strength and peace. It is an integral symbol in Māori art, carving and tattoos. The circular shape of the koru helps to convey the idea of perpetual movement while the inner coil suggests a return to the point of origin
Cyathea dealbata, also known as the silver tree-fern or silver fern, or as ponga /ˈpɒŋə/ or punga /ˈpʌŋə/ (from Māori kaponga or ponga), is a species of medium-sized tree fern, endemic to New Zealand. It is a symbol commonly associated with the country both overseas and by New Zealanders themselves.
Kia ora is a Māori language greeting which has entered New Zealand English. It means, literally, have life be well/healthy and is translated as an informal hi at the Māori Language Commission website Kōrero Māori.
